"To illustrate a map that is clear and easily understood is no simple task. Bek Cruddace not only managed that for Balmoral, but produced an attractive piece of artwork that will be the envy of our neighbouring visitor attractions. I would recommend Bek to anyone thinking of commissioning a similar task."
Garry Marsden, Visitor Enterprise Manager, Balmoral Estate
"Working with Bek is an absolute pleasure. Not only is Bek clearly talented but her communication is on point. She takes a lot of pride in her illustrations and wants nothing but the best for her clients. In our experience she has dealt with briefs from start, to draft, to amendments, to finish… on some occasions, to even more amendments where she was very understanding. A very professional illustrator that you can rely on to produce some high quality work along with easy communication. Thanks for all your help so far Bek. "
Philip Lay, APL Media/ABTA Magazine.
"We came to Bek with an unusual request – to map buildings of London that no longer existed, aided only by archive photographs. Bek rose to the challenge beautifully – and well ahead of deadline – with a unique, highly detailed map that exactly fitted our requirements. At all stages she communicated well, supplied drafts and made amendments promptly, and showed a great level of editorial accuracy as well as artistic ability. We’re delighted to have published her re-imagined London."
Rebecca Needes, Editor, AA Publishing.
"From the beginning, Bek took on our specially commissioned map projects with enthusiasm. Even though the initial ideas we provided were a bit out there and not exactly anything she had done before, Bek fully grasped what we were hoping to achieve and worked with us to create two gorgeous pieces. We really appreciated Bek’s keen eye and expertise on layout, colour, printing, and size to help guide us in the process of having a custom map printed on a large canvas. Her flexibility allowed us to make multiple changes to our digital map as our needs changed throughout the artwork phase. We have received rave reviews and look forward to showcasing these works of art to our staff, students, and colleagues."
Aimee Gilbert, Director of External Communication, Foundation for International Education.
"Working with Bek has been a real pleasure. Canals and rivers aren’t like other forms of transport - they’re part route, part museum, part park and with over 100 miles in London alone they connect to almost everywhere! That’s why Bek’s maps are so special. With her patience, eye for detail and unique style she’s managed to distil the a huge amount of vital information into a beautiful but easy to read and use map that makes anyone viewing it immediately want to jump on a train and take a walk down a towpath. We’re now looking forward to working with Bek on some other waterways and we can’t recommend her skills highly enough."
Dick Vincent, Towpath Ranger, Canal & River Trust.
"Working with Bek on the development of a map for our holiday rental in Havana was a real pleasure! Bek got to grips with our requirements very quickly and understood the feel we wanted to create with the map. I only actually spoke to Bek on two occasions, everything else was done via email, which was great for me as the map development came at a very busy time. From the outset Bek was clear about time scales and she actually completed the work much quicker than anticipated. I absolutely love the map! The final product is even better than I had hoped for, I would wholeheartedly recommend Bek for her skill, professional and friendly approach, and ability to produce very high quality hand-drawn maps to timescale, at an affordable price."
