I was commissioned by AA Publishing and Londonist to create an illustrated map showing the Lost Victorian Buildings of London. The map illustration was based a Londonist article about Victorian buildings London should never have lost.
The finished map is featured in the Londonist Mapped book along side the accompanying article. The map was also used as the inside cover of the book.
“We came to Bek with an unusual request – to map buildings of London that no longer existed, aided only by archive photographs. Bek rose to the challenge beautifully – and well ahead of deadline – with a unique, highly detailed map that exactly fitted our requirements. At all stages she communicated well, supplied drafts and made amendments promptly, and showed a great level of editorial accuracy as well as artistic ability. We’re delighted to have published her re-imagined London.“
