Guardian Travel Road-Trip Maps

Client: Guardian Travel

Guardian Travel commissioned me to design a set of six illustrated road-trip maps for a special feature in the Weekend Travel Guide. The maps covered quite extensive areas in Canada, Italy, Norway, Northern Spain, Ireland and the Czech Republic.

A key requirement for all the Guardian Travel road-trip maps was that they should use the correct road numbers. This was so each map could easily be used for journey planning.  Each road trip map also needed to illustrated the key places of interest mentioned in the travel guide copy. 

The six maps were so well received an additional road trip map for Dumfries and Galloway was also commissioned.
