Illustrated Hotel Grounds Maps

Client: Exclusive Collection

I was commissioned by Exclusive Collection, a family owned group of hotels in the South of England, to design illustrated hotel grounds maps for their 6 properties: Pennyhill Park, South Lodge, The Manor House, Lainston House, Royal Berkshire and Fanhams Hall

The brief supplied for the maps was to design an illustrated grounds map for each property that highlighted the key features inside the hotel grounds to hotel visitors as well as including running/walking routes and and show some surrounding attractions where relevant. 

The six properties all varied in scale and amenities from the large estate of The Manor House, Castle Combe which also encompassed the village, the local pub and the golf club to the Royal Berkshire near Ascot which is self contained within 15 acres.

Site visits were carried out to each property which allowed me to not only take photographs and do reference sketches but also to experience the feel of each property and the key features of the grounds and layout.  

The original project was extended to include 4 walking route maps for guests staying at The Manor House to use.

Bek has been wonderful to work with, her beautiful illustrations have brought life to our property maps and given our guests a great tool to explore our grounds. Her flexibility and understanding throughout the pandemic have been second to none and we’re delighted with the work she has produced for Exclusive Collection.
